The Philippine Immersion team spent time eating, fishing, cooking, talking and ministering to the Aete people of Mapwing. During their stay they were able to use their newly acquired and growing skill at speaking Tagalog. The Litson on the bamboo pole served over 70 persons. There are Aete peoples living in the mountains throughout the Philippines. Many of the Aete around Olongapo were displaced because of the 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. |

Pictured is the Philippine Immersion team. Ty is taking up the rear and packing the medical supplies. The team nurse Jaimee Novak is in front and leading the way. They are in the mountains of New Cabalan just outside of Olongapo City. The tribal people known as the Aete live in these mountains. Jaimee and the team ministered love, prayer, and medical assistance. Others were working with interpreters and teaching from the bible.
